Bob Derrington is a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst covering the restaurants sector at TAG. Bob’s research brings a “sixth sense” of understanding to his work, having served for ten years as a restaurant operator and franchise developer within the St. Louis market, and adding better understanding to the challenges facing industry management. Bob has combined his education and experience in accounting and finance with his industry expertise to support his 20+ year career in equity research coverage of the restaurant industry. He joins TAG from Wunderlich Securities, where he initiated their initial Consumer Research following his extensive career as Managing Director and Senior Restaurant analyst with Morgan Keegan (11 years) and SunTrust Equitable (7 years). Bob’s research efforts have been cited for numerous industry awards from both StarMine and the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” research team for both Stock Picking awards and Earnings Accuracy.
Mr. Derrington holds a BS in business administration – accounting from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, and has attended the Olin School of Business at Washington University. He holds the Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses.
